Elderlower is the main herb in this cream.  Revered as an actual elder in Europe, hence the name, used in eyecreams in the Old Country, to treat puffiness, dark circles, crows feet, and redness. Mountain plantain and yerbanegrita of the mallow family also add to the soothing properties of this cream. All three plants I wild harvest in the Sangre de Cristo mountains here.

Elderflower softens the skin and is gentle. This cream has no essential oils as our eyes are sensitive and we want to treat that area differently. It does have the flower essence of white yarrow. Yarrow protects against environmental toxins. Flower essences work more on the vibrational level and are not irritating near the eye. This cream also has the equisetum with the high silica content, plantain has a gel like substance similair to the area under the eye. All the herbs in this cream are super soothing and best to apply a little before bed in dots around the eye and then gently rub in, in tiny circles.

You can also use this as a travel size cream and for treating skin discoloration because of its high elderflower content. This little jar will go for about eight months milage if your just using it to treat the eye

area.

Keep in a cool place out of direct sun. Best refrigerated if you live in a hot or humid climate.

*Now Vegan with candelillia wax instead of beeswax being used in the making of the cream. Candelillia is a wild harvested plant in southern New Mexico, Texas and Mexico. It has all the same properties as beeswax but is lighter. Like beeswax it is a hemectant allowing the skin to breath and at the same time holds moisture in. Every year in Mexico they have a Candellia festival to celebrate the plants gifts.

Enjoy!
