Trementina has 3 of our most potent anti-viral herbs found in the southwest....osha root, chaparral and pinyon sap. I harvest the osha root every year in our local  Sangre de Cristo mountains around San Geronimo feast day at Taos Pueblo  in late September, when it was traditionally the best time to harvest when the plants medicine is in the roots. Osha root being anti-bacterial and anti viral, everyone in the world wants it, but it grows here.  For the chaparral I go down to southern New Mexico to the sacred Aldo Leopold  Gila wilderness every spring to wild craft and harvest it in the first designated wilderness area in the US.  Chaparral is a natural anti-biotic, anti-infllammatory and anaglesic pain releiving to name a few. The natives used it for cancer treatments.  And the pinyon sap is a natural anti-septic that relieves pain and promotes healing, that I like to wild harvest near our wild rivers area where the trees are healthy. Trementina is a drawing salve and pulls out infection and helps heal wounds. A miracle salve for most everything... spider bites, bee stings, acne, and boils. Slivers it pulls out in a day and a half. You can use it on animal wounds too and natives used it to draw out skin cancer which makes it more like a black salve that can treat questionable skin cancer. I always say it is worth trying this method first.
